This live streamed presentation is the first detailed chance to lift the lid of the hotly anticipated Joomla 1.6 release.
Andrew Eddie and the Development team have been hard at work building new features. It is part of the Joomla User Group Brisbane where Andrew will be talking about what's in this release including Access Control in the Administrator, the addition of commenting and extension upgrades. There's lot's of great stuff to look forward to! Andrew will also describe what it will take to upgrade to 1.6.
The presentation will mostly be done as a demo of new Joomla 1.6 functionality. You'll also learn about the planned release schedule too.
Its short notice but tell people they can watch it streamed here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/joomla-user-group-brisbane . Andrew will be presenting twice to cater for lots of timezones:
7th July at 7.00pm Brisbane time GMT+10; (Also suits Europe 7th July, 10.00am London time).
8th July 8.00am Brisbane time GMT+10; (Also suits USA 7th July 3.00pm PST in the San Francisco).
During the stream, you can ask live questions via the Ustream service chat. We have a person monitoring the comments and questions in the meeting and relaying them for a response. So if you have a burning question about Joomla 1.6 you might get your chance to ask it.
We look forward to you joining in to this important Joomla event.
