When searching for info online, we seem to loose our patience so quickly. It is well known that users read through the phrases and seek out instinctively the facts that interest them the most. That's why Twitter's feeds are so small and that's why more and more people are into video nowadays. The simplest and shortest ways of attracting attention are the smart ones.

If you haven't used Jentla's Assets already, this post will guide you through the process of uploading video materials into your articles and displaying them on site. You can also use video modules to display the data on a certain position, at your choosing.

Hand picked

Advanced Content Administration lets you create your own video library that can be accessed from any article that you may want to create. While on the article editing page, click on the Assets section, next to Propagation. In the opening page, press on the Upload button and select the videos you want to upload from your computer. As you noticed, you can add both audio and video files The media library will always be visible on the left side of your Assets page. To select a certain asset for you current article, press on the video's paper click symbol and it will be automatically moved in to the Selected items list on your right.

Follow the cursor

The videos are inserted at the cursor's current position in article summary or body. While editing content, press on the Asset tab, located underneath the article content box, next to the Action fields. Select the video you want in the article, then press the Attach button.

Note that once you open a new article, you have to reselect the videos from the assets list.

The right place

In order to set the video in a certain position on site, you can create a video module and personalize its options. Set your module filtering options by selecting the article containing the video and choosing the right category in the category list. The module's position can always be changed from its basic options, available in Site Administrator.
