Can we make money?

 

Since Jentla is so costed per site and much more affordable compared to fully proprietary systems, doesn't that mean less margin for us? While the per site list price of Jentla is likely much lower than the cost of your clients' existing systems, that doesn't mean a lower total margin for you. The change to a licensed based solution means a wealth of new recurring revenue opportunities for resellers, integrators and other solution providers.

No, but we encourage you to be as proactive as you can in supporting your customers. Your contact logo can be listed as the logo in your customer's administrator control panel. Or you can choose to use the control panel to manage your customers' accounts yourself.

 

How do we know that you won't later take our customer relationships direct and cut us out?

 

The goal for Jentla to extend Joomla into the Enterprise hasn't changed. We focus on building great CMS solutions. We fully recognize and appreciate the complementary role you play as a solution provider in bringing these products to business customers.

 

With this reseller program, you own the relationship with your customers. You create and sell a complete solution that includes Jentla and your own services, you bill your customers for the services you provide and we encourage you to provide front-line support as well.

 

We provide hosting services for our existing customers. Will we have to replace those with Jentla Hosting?

 

You won't need to replace your existing hosting for your Joomla sites if you are happy with them. If you have sufficient technical capacity you can run the Jentla Manager on your hosting but generally developers choose to use the Jentla Hosting for this. The Jentla Configuration option describes this in details.

As an independent advisor, you are able to provide comprehensive, objective guidance to your clients that isn't tied to us.

 

Will we need to make a heavy up-front investment before we know whether Jentla will work for our business?

 

You can grow your investment in the Jentla side of your business as your appetite and results dictate. The low risk and low up-front investment of not having to acquire new hardware or hire a team of sales and support representatives makes it easier to smoothly grow your Jentla business based on customer demand. While it is crucial that you invest some time in product and sales training, we've made this part as painless as possible. The reseller program also has no entry fee and there are no minimum volume requirements.

Exiting Joomla developers will find transitioning to Jentla very simple. It has the same admin user interfaces. In fact it makes your current tasks that much easier. Developers new to Joomla will find the transition quite easy. That's why there are approximately 10 million Joomla sites online.

 

There is a large amount of Joomla documentation available. We're putting together multimedia technical training materials to assist your employees with initial ramp-up and ongoing deployment and support work. These include an extensive deployment guide, material to assist with migration and mail routing, and guides for supporting and troubleshooting the services. You'll also have access to reseller-specific support.

 

Should you choose, one of the best ways to get your entire team up to speed on the benefits of Jentla is to deploy it for your own business. We did this for jentla.com and it has dramatically our employees learn the details of the service.

 

Do you have an official certification program?

 

We do not currently have a certification program for resellers or Joomla extension developers, but we're working on it because we realize certification is an important decision criteria for your clients. Resellers are required to demonstrate real-world skills and experience by finding and deploying a Jentla customer before being fully admitted into the reseller program. This investment of your time and energy will better equip you for success with this program.
