Grouping Sites
PDF Print E-mail

Managing very large numbers of sites poses some subtle problems.Site Grouping

Selecting sites to propagate articles to, updating a particular module or assigning a single merge value could just be a matter of ticking a number of checkboxes, or just a multi-select combo box. But when you have dozens or hundreds of sites, keeping track of which sites you'd like to select is a major challenge.

To help administrators, contributors, editors and publishers, Jentla allows the sites to be grouped in hierarchies. A collection of sites can be split into geographical trees, interest groups, or grouped in whatever associations the organisation choses. Geographical groups are obvious with countries, states, regions, cities, suburbs etc. You can then split the same sites with a tree based on interests or site layout or target audience. The possibilities are limitless. You can even affiliate groups to propagate articles to all the affiliates of the original target group.

Your sales force can group sites by sales region, your design staff can work on layout groups, your marketing staff will work with demographic target groups, your bloggers will publish to interested sites, newsfeeds can be pumped to their target sites.

So whether you have dozens of sites or thousands of sites, Jentla will help you organise them exactly the way you want to. If you have grouping methodologies that match the ways people in your organisation think, Jentla can match them.
