Parameter clearance
It's not easy to come up with good ideas to write and pass on to others. The best way to skip all the creative madness is to usually put down anything that comes to mind. Organizing the ideas is then another thing that can be quite difficult. With the writing process taking so much of my time, I mostly relay on the idea that, at the end, I will be able to publish fast. A really comforting thought: just copy-paste all my text into a simple editor, insert images if necessary, set up the article's publishing options and there you have it, all done.
For those who are looking for a challenge and are perfectionists with their pieces of writing, going through the Parameters section in Advanced Content Administration, can quickly solve another lot of issues. Since there are so many options in this menu and a couple of fast ways to get lost, here are the most important aspects to consider when trying to add extra features to your published articles.
Default works?
If it does for you, I guess you'd better stop reading at this point. Not completing the parameters fields or leaving the “Use Global” option setting on, will mean your article will be using default parameters. These will not show any details fields, will link the article's titles to their main pages and will automatically change intertitles style.
Hits vs Author
Most website articles show their publishing dates and also their number of hits and name of the author. To perform these actions in Jentla Marketing Hub, choose the Show Author and Show Hits options. Be noticed that editing your article and publishing your changes will restart the number of article hits from 0.
What's really the time?
You can choose to show three types of dates on your article page : created, published or the date and time on which you've modified your posting. Use the Read more button if you choose to only show the article intro. Clicking on it will display the entire entry.
Comment and share
To include a comment module underneath your current article, another Parameters option will allow you to enable the comment input. Inserting Share, Email or Print icons underneath your posting will allow users to share it anytime.
Once you've modified your Parameters settings, click Save to keep your settings as Draft and Apply or Publish to show your modifications on site. The parameters options can be modified from the menu or category menus also, where, from Article Options, a user can apply changes to all articles included in the specified menu or category.
